When does Reed Rides launch?
We're finishing the iOS and Android apps now. Drop your email above and we'll send one message the day both stores approve it.
What is Ask Reed?
An assistant inside the app that answers questions about your rides, trips, badges and crew, plus facts about 500+ coasters. It reads your data; it can't change it.
What counts as a "verified" ride?
Reed Rides checks that you're within range of the ride and stayed for a short dwell window. It's not a tap from across the park. A manual log is always there if your location isn't cooperating.
Can younger riders use it?
Yes. Everyone gives a birthday at sign-up. Under-13 accounts need a parent or guardian to confirm before joining a crew, and Ask Reed is for 13 and up.
Is Reed Rides free?
Tracking, badges, stamps and Crew are free. We plan an optional paid tier later for extras. Nothing about the core passport goes behind a paywall, and there are no ads.
Where do the wait times come from?
Queue-Times.com, refreshed every few minutes. Parks they don't cover simply don't show a wait, rather than a guess.
Can I add trips from before I started using the app?
Yes. Log a Past Trip records earlier visits, with a recap and any badges those rides earn.
Does Reed Rides track my location in the background?
No. Location is only checked while the app is open, for check-ins and the nearby-park prompt. Never while it's closed.
Can I delete my account and my data?
Yes, from Settings in the app. It removes your account and everything tied to it.
What if my home park isn't in Reed Rides yet?
Tell us. Which park comes next is mostly driven by what people ask for.
Do I have to join a crew?
No. Passport, badges, stamps, Hall of Fame and Ask Reed all work solo. Crew is there if you want it.
